CyberSpades was launched in 1998, back when the Internet was "fun" -- a couple years before the dotcom bust. Around this time the "Zone" was the only place to play (does anyone else remember the old zone with the village), along with Polka's online spades and euchre. Polka's games were great fun and allot of people played there, but eventually Polka sold the games to either Yahoo or Playsite, I don't remember which (cha-ching). Since then, I've seen card playing sites come and go, but not to worry, CyberSpades will always be around, kind of like your hometown. Although we have adspace, this site did not originate as a commercial enterprise. The CyberSpades online spades game actually started out as a programming excercise that got out of hand, it was then subsequently upgraded to become what you see here today. If you see "BeckyB84" in the spades room, say Hi, that's my Grandma!!
